SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul Leland Cornue of Lake Geneva, who
4passed away on April 18, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Cornue was born in Harvard to Stanley
6Huntington and Meta Adele (Felbck) Cornue on October 4, 1945;
7he graduated from Alden-Hebron High School in 1963; following
8four years at the University of Illinois, he served in the
9United States Army for three years, including one year in
10Vietnam; after he was discharged from the Army, he returned to
11the University of Illinois and earned his Master of Business
12Administration; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Paul Cornue worked in computer programming and
14information technology; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Paul Cornue was an active scuba diver and was
16involved in the discovery of the remains of the Lucius Newberry
17in Geneva Lake; he also enjoyed water skiing and riding his
18motorcycle, particularly to Sturgis, South Dakota; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Paul Cornue was preceded in death by his parents;
20his sister-in-law, Virginia Stahlbaum Cornue; and his
21brother-in-law, Reginald Hammond; and

1    WHEREAS, Paul Cornue is survived by his brothers, Alan
2Duane (Bonnie Robinson) Cornue and Lloyd Felbeck Cornue; his
3sister, Sandra Hammond; his nieces and nephews, Daniel
4(Adriana) Cornue, Christine (Paul) Nesja, Carrie (Paul)
5Crispina, John (Amanda) Cornue, Michael (Pamela) Hammond, and
6Tom (Marcela) Hammond; his ten great-nieces and nephews; his
7special friend, Tom Borysek; and his special companion parrot,
8Sport; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Paul Leland Cornue and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Paul Cornue as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
