SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

760 ILCS 5/18.5 new

Amends the Trusts and Trustees Act. Provides that the common law doctrine of election applies to all trusts.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Trusts and Trustees Act is amended by adding Section 18.5 as follows:

(760 ILCS 5/18.5 new)

Sec. 18.5. Doctrine of election applies. The common law doctrine of election applies to all trusts.
