HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to recognize Illinois State Representative Josh Harms for his hard work on behalf of the people of the State of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Representative Harms grew up on a family farm in Watseka, which instilled a good work ethic and strong sense of community service; and

WHEREAS, Representative Harms graduated from Illinois State University in 1997 and earned his Master's Degree from Governors State University in 2007; and

WHEREAS, Representative Harms used his education to develop young minds in his own community, teaching in Vermilion and Iroquois Counties; and

WHEREAS, Since 2012, Representative Harms has furthered his service to local communities by supporting many pro-business, pro-life, and pro-taxpayer initiatives in the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Representative Harms has distinguished himself through his service on the Agriculture and Conservation, Appropriations-Higher Education, Business Occupational Licenses, Cities and Villages, Economic Development, Public Safety: Police and Fire, and Veterans' Affairs Committees; and

WHEREAS, Representative Harms has decided to retire from the Illinois House of Representatives in order to continue his community service from his home base in Watseka and spend more time with his 2 children; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we thank our friend and colleague, Illinois State Representative Josh Harms, for his service in Springfield, wish him the best in his efforts within his local communities, and express our pleasure to see him have more time to spend with his 2 lovely children, Paul and Molly; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Representative Harms as a token of our esteem.
