HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to recognize Illinois State
4Representative Josh Harms for his hard work on behalf of the
5people of the State of Illinois; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Representative Harms grew up on a family farm in
7Watseka, which instilled a good work ethic and strong sense of
8community service; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Representative Harms graduated from Illinois
10State University in 1997 and earned his Master's Degree from
11Governors State University in 2007; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Representative Harms used his education to
13develop young minds in his own community, teaching in Vermilion
14and Iroquois Counties; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Since 2012, Representative Harms has furthered
16his service to local communities by supporting many
17pro-business, pro-life, and pro-taxpayer initiatives in the
18General Assembly; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Representative Harms has distinguished himself
20through his service on the Agriculture and Conservation,

1Appropriations-Higher Education, Business Occupational
2Licenses, Cities and Villages, Economic Development, Public
3Safety: Police and Fire, and Veterans' Affairs Committees; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Representative Harms has decided to retire from
5the Illinois House of Representatives in order to continue his
6community service from his home base in Watseka and spend more
7time with his 2 children; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we thank our friend and colleague, Illinois State
11Representative Josh Harms, for his service in Springfield, wish
12him the best in his efforts within his local communities, and
13express our pleasure to see him have more time to spend with
14his 2 lovely children, Paul and Molly; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to Representative Harms as a token of our esteem.
