HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of DeShamone McCarty of Maywood, who passed away on May 15, 2013; and

WHEREAS, DeShamone McCarty played track, football, and basketball at Proviso East High School; and

WHEREAS, DeShamone McCarty attended Dakota College in Bottineau, North Dakota, where he continued to play football and basketball; and

WHEREAS, Nicknamed "Spuddy", DeShamone McCarty was admired by his fellow teammates and coaches and called the "MVP" of his high school basketball team due to his work ethic; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of DeShamone McCarty, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of DeShamone McCarty as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
