HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to recognize the Lade brothers of
4Essex on their history of service to the United States
5military; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The term "military family" has never been more
7appropriate than when applied to the 9 Lade brothers, all of
8whom served in the military from World War II through the
9Korean Conflict; and
 
10    WHEREAS, The Lade brothers are Glendon Sylvester Lade,
11January 22, 1917-November 5, 2008, enlisted January 9, 1945,
12served in the Navy; Delmar Anthony Lade, born September 2,
131919, enlisted May 5, 1942, served in the United States Army
14Air Corps; Cecil Merril Lade, October 8, 1921-November 1, 1991,
15enlisted May 10, 1944-January 6, 1946, served in the Marine
16Corps; Archie Henry Lade, April 1, 1923-July 31, 2001, enlisted
17March 6, 1943-March 11, 1946, served in the U.S. Army during
18World War II and the Korean War; Stanley Robert Lade,
191925-April 30, 1945, killed in action, Purple Heart recipient,
20served in the U.S. Army during World War II; William Howard
21Lade, July 21, 1926-November 1, 2009, served in the U.S. Army
22during World War II and the Korean War; Herbert Edward Lade,
23June 8, 1929-March 25, 1984, enlisted November 24, 1948-August

125, 1952, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; Lloyd
2Leo Lade, September 28, 1930-February 18, 2012, served in the
3U.S. Army; Joseph Duane Lade, born June 8, 1938, served in the
4U.S. Army; and
 
5    WHEREAS, The Essex Historical Museum contains a wall
6dedicated to all of the town's residents who served in the
7military; although the wall includes numerous people, 9
8pictures along one row depict the Lade brothers in honor of
9their family's service to the United States; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we recognize the Lade brothers, honor their service to their
13country's military, and thank them for their devotion to the
14United States; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to The Essex Historical Museum as an expression of
17our esteem and respect.
