SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

520 ILCS 5/1.3a new

Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall set a season during which white-tailed deer may be taken by use of firearms on the consecutive Saturday, Sunday, and Monday immediately before the fourth Thursday in November, commonly referred to as Thanksgiving Day.

AN ACT concerning wildlife.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section 1.3a as follows:

(520 ILCS 5/1.3a new)

Sec. 1.3a. Taking white-tailed deer. The Department shall set a season during which white-tailed deer may be taken by use of firearms on the consecutive Saturday, Sunday, and Monday immediately before the fourth Thursday in November, commonly referred to as Thanksgiving Day.
