SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
520 ILCS 5/1.3a new

    Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall set a season during which white-tailed deer may be taken by use of firearms on the consecutive Saturday, Sunday, and Monday immediately before the fourth Thursday in November, commonly referred to as Thanksgiving Day.

1    AN ACT concerning wildlife.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section
51.3a as follows:
 
6    (520 ILCS 5/1.3a new)
7    Sec. 1.3a. Taking white-tailed deer. The Department shall
8set a season during which white-tailed deer may be taken by use
9of firearms on the consecutive Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
10immediately before the fourth Thursday in November, commonly
11referred to as Thanksgiving Day.
