325 ILCS 20/20

    Amends the Early Intervention Services System Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund.

1    AN ACT concerning children.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Early Intervention Services System Act is
5amended by changing Section 20 as follows:
 
6    (325 ILCS 20/20)
7    Sec. 20. Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund. There
8is created a revolving fund to be known as the the Early
9Intervention Services Revolving Fund, to be held by the lead
10agency.
11    The Early Intervention Services Revolving Fund shall be
12used to the extent determined necessary by the lead agency to
13pay for early intervention services.
14    Local Accounts for such purposes may be established by the
15lead agency.
16    Expenditures from the Early Intervention Services
17Revolving Fund shall be made in accordance with applicable
18program provisions and shall be limited to those purposes and
19amounts specified under applicable program guidelines. Funding
20of the Fund shall be from family fees, insurance company
21payments, federal financial participation received as
22reimbursement for expenditures from the Fund, and
23appropriations made to the State agencies involved in the

1payment for early intervention services under this Act.
2    Disbursements from the Early Intervention Services
3Revolving Fund shall be made as determined by the lead agency
4or its designee. Funds in the Early Intervention Services
5Revolving Fund or the local accounts created under this Section
6that are not immediately required for expenditure may be
7invested in certificates of deposit or other interest bearing
8accounts. Any interest earned shall be deposited in the Early
9Intervention Services Revolving Fund.
