SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harold Lloyd Ingold of Paxton, who passed
4away on April 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was born on December 22, 1927 in
6rural Fisher; his parents were Raymond and Elsie Beck Ingold;
7he married Carol Beth Johnson on August 8, 1948 at Federated
8Church in Paxton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold graduated from Paxton High School in
101945; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold worked for and later owned and
12operated Paxton Farm Equipment Company in Paxton, the local
13John Deere dealer from 1948 until his retirement in 1986; he
14also served as president of the board of directors for Paxton
15Community Hospital and was a member of First United Methodist
16Church in Paxton; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago
18Bears fan and played on a local traveling baseball team as a
19young man; he also enjoyed playing golf with his friends and
20spending time with his family; and

1    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was preceded in death by his
2parents; 2 brothers, Clarence and Lyle; and 3 sisters, Dora
3Eichelberger, Betty Unzicker, and June Simpson; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Harold Ingold is survived by his wife, Carol;
5sons, Bill (Lynn) Ingold and Rick Ingold; granddaughter, Leslie
6(Tom) Cottrell; grandson, Jeff (Jennie) Ingold;
7great-grandchildren, Lindsey Windler, Carter and Callie
8Ingold, and Jeremy Cottrell; 2 sisters, Joann Horsch and
9Barbara Wilson; sister-in-law, Emma Ingold; brother-in-law,
10Maurice (Mary) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore,
11be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold Lloyd Ingold;
15and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Harold Ingold as an expression of
18our sympathy.
