SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marilyn W. Cawiezel of Lisle, who passed away on April 21, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Cawiezel was a resident of Lisle since 1956; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Cawiezel was a graduate of Creighton University, which led to a successful career in advertising and journalism; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Cawiezel was an active parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Church since 1956; she also served as a Charter Member of the Lisle Heritage Society, President and Trustee of the Lisle Library District, and a Member and President of the Lisle Woman's Club; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Cawiezel was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Catheryn Wilkinson; her beloved husband, Albert F. Cawiezel; a nephew, John Wilkinson, Jr.; and a great-nephew, John Closner; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Cawiezel is survived by 2 loving children, A. (Patrick) Cawiezel and Catheryn Cawiezel; a sister, Beverly (the late Wally) Closner; a brother, John Wilkinson; 6 nieces; and 4 nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilyn W. Cawiezel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marilyn Cawiezel as an expression of our sympathy.
