SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony V. "Tony" Serritella of McHenry, who passed away on June 11, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Serritella was born in Chicago on October 30, 1932 to Sam and Elaine Serritella; he married Cecilia Brown in 1959, and they settled in McHenry in 1968; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Serritella owned and operated West Elm Laundry for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Serritella's real talent was repairing anything that needed to be fixed and helping those who needed it; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Serritella is survived by his wife, Cecilia; his children, Timothy (Diane) Serritella, Maureen (Mike) Bazan, Cecilia (Keith) Adams, Edward (Jenny) Serritella, and Elizabeth (Steve) Smith; his grandchildren, Lauren, Katherine, Lucas, and Grace Adams, Rachel Serritella, Zachary and Olivia Serritella, and Isabelle and Olivia Smith; his siblings, Annette and Sam Serritella; and many other family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anthony V. "Tony" Serritella, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anthony Serritella as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
