SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David Bailey of Pontiac, who passed away on August 4, 2014; and

WHEREAS, David Bailey was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School and Illinois Wesleyan University; and

WHEREAS, David Bailey served his country as a member of the United States Army in Korea and Japan from 1953 to 1955; and

WHEREAS, David Bailey served with distinction as a member of the Livingston County Board from 1978 to 1998; and

WHEREAS, David Bailey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pontiac, where he served as a volunteer, specifically for the church's food pantry; he was also a longtime member of the Pontiac Elks Lodge; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of David Bailey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Bailey as an expression of our sympathy.
