SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gary William Joyce of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on November 8, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was born in Jacksonville, Florida on
6June 25, 1954 to William E. and Patricia F. (nee Chadbourn)
7Joyce; he was a proud veteran of the United States Navy; he was
8stationed in Florida, where he worked as a nuclear power plant
9operator; he served on both the USS Forrestal and the USS
10Yosemite; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gary Joyce worked for multiple architectural
12engineering companies such as EMC2, GKC, and Perkins and Will,
13all based out of Chicago; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Gary Joyce enjoyed working with computers,
15building computer networks, and spoiling his children; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was preceded in death by both maternal
17and paternal grandparents; his father, William E. Joyce; his
18brother, Jeffery P. Joyce; and his infant son, Michael William
19Joyce; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was the loving husband of 29 years to

1Susan (nee Lynch); the devoted father to Raeann Smith-Delinger,
2Jessica Louise Joyce, and Kelly Anne Joyce; the new grandfather
3to Dominic Anthony Manning; the beloved brother of Judy
4Joyce-Wilson; and the cherished son of Patricia F. Joyce;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Gary William Joyce, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Gary Joyce as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
