SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gary William Joyce of Crystal Lake, who passed away on November 8, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 25, 1954 to William E. and Patricia F. (nee Chadbourn) Joyce; he was a proud veteran of the United States Navy; he was stationed in Florida, where he worked as a nuclear power plant operator; he served on both the USS Forrestal and the USS Yosemite; and

WHEREAS, Gary Joyce worked for multiple architectural engineering companies such as EMC2, GKC, and Perkins and Will, all based out of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Gary Joyce enjoyed working with computers, building computer networks, and spoiling his children; and

WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; his father, William E. Joyce; his brother, Jeffery P. Joyce; and his infant son, Michael William Joyce; and

WHEREAS, Gary Joyce was the loving husband of 29 years to Susan (nee Lynch); the devoted father to Raeann Smith-Delinger, Jessica Louise Joyce, and Kelly Anne Joyce; the new grandfather to Dominic Anthony Manning; the beloved brother of Judy Joyce-Wilson; and the cherished son of Patricia F. Joyce; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gary William Joyce, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Joyce as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
