SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Anna Alaimo Kenny of McHenry, who passed
4away on October 1, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anna Kenny was born on November 21, 1921 to
6Salvatore and Catherine (nee Chiarello) Alaimo in Chicago; she
7married Richard F. Kenny at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio,
8Texas on February 8, 1944; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Anna Kenny owned and operated a beauty salon in
10Mount Prospect; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Anna Kenny was a member of the General Federation
12of Women's Club in Seminole, Florida and here in Illinois,
13where she was a chair for Veterans' Affairs; she was also a
14member of the Willow Creek Women's Club and the Williams Bay
15Women's Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Anna Kenny was preceded in death by her parents;
17her husband, Richard; her son, Richard M. Kenny; and her
18daughter, Elizabeth Mary Kenny; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Anna Kenny is survived by her daughter, Geri
20(Harry) Alten; her 4 grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Alaimo;

1her sister, Frances Alaimo; her sisters-in-law, Jerry Kenny and
2Margaret Alaimo; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Anna Alaimo Kenny, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Anna Kenny as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
