SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Teresa J. Mazza, who passed away on
4September 25, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza was born in 1964 in Libby and grew up
6in Montana; she married David Mazza on October 8, 1988; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza graduated from Libby High School in
81983; she later earned her Bachelor's Degree from Rocky
9Mountain College in Billings, Montana in 1987; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza was employed at the YKK (USA), Inc.
11zipper company in Northbrook and Glenview for over 25 years;
12she was the recipient of the company's National Salesperson of
13the Year recognition in 2000; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza was an active member of her
15community; she served as chair of the fellowship commission at
16St. Mary's Espiscopal Church in Park Ridge for 5 years; she
17served at the Church of the Advent Soup Kitchen in Logan Square
18for many years; she was an active supporter of the CCA Academy;
19she also helped pack and deliver lunches for the Second Sunday
20Sack Lunch program; and

1    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza enjoyed traveling, participating in
2church activities, and watching her sons' swimming and diving
3competitions, soccer and golf games, and water polo and
4triathlon events; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza is preceded in death by her mother,
6Linda (nee Clawson) Carr; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Teresa Mazza is survived by her husband, David
8Mazza; her father, Delbert (Kathy Drake) Carr; her sons, Daniel
9Dean Mazza and Robert Kaylor Mazza; her sisters, Penny (Frank)
10Kyes and Wendy (Joe) Chopyak; her many nephews and nieces; and
11her many friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Teresa J. Mazza; and
15be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Teresa Mazza as an expression of our
18sympathy.
