SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edith Javorik of Aurora, who passed away on July 18, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Edith Javorik was born on January 26, 1932 in Hungary to Lajos and Gizella (nee Domonkos) Schinkovits; she and her husband, Thomas immigrated to the United States in 1957; and

WHEREAS, Edith Javorik had a Master's Degree in Aero-Photogrammetry; she was employed for many years with the City of Aurora as a civil engineer; and

WHEREAS, Edith Javorik enjoyed tennis and gardening and was a devoted grandmother; and

WHEREAS, Edith Javorik was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Edith Javorik is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas; her daughter, Kathleen (Matthew) Rieser; her grandchildren, Ariana, Tomas, and Andrea Rieser; and her nephew, Alex Javorik; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edith Javorik, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edith Javorik as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
