SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Maynard "Red" White of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on December 22, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Maynard White was born on January 26, 1937 in
6Chicago to Maynard and Margery (nee Williams) White; he
7graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago in 1954 and
8married Joanne Maday on September 22, 1956 in Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Maynard White retired from the R.B. Hayward
10Company after over 40 years of service; he was a member of
11Sheet Metal Workers Local #73 and worked on many of the
12landmark buildings that make up Chicago's famous skyline; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Maynard White enjoyed working on and restoring
14cars, especially his '67 Camaro; he was an avid water and snow
15skier, a certified scuba diver, and enjoyed riding his bicycle;
16he also liked working in his garden, traveling, camping, and
17spending time with his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Maynard White was preceded in death by his
19parents, and by his sister, Joan (Ed) Rossi; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Maynard White is survived by his wife, Joanne; his

1daughters, Debbie (Kurt) Miller and Denise (John) Lindquist;
2and his grandchildren, Jeff (Nicole Szulc-Cieplicki) and Andi
3(Beau Sanchez) Miller and Brenna, Ryan, Kyle, and Raina
4Lindquist; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Maynard "Red" White, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Maynard White as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
