SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Darlene M. Goewey of Richmond, who passed away on December 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was born on July 19, 1932 in Harvard; her parents were Claude and Mabel (nee Utesch) Meyers; she married Earl K. Goewey on July 24, 1961 in Sycamore; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was an inspector at the Admiral Corporation in Harvard and Intermatic Incorporated in Spring Grove for over 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitching, gardening, and babysitting her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Goewey; her brothers, Ralph and Arthur Meyers; her sister, June Blanke; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Meyers; and her brother-in-law, Harold Dade; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Goewey is survived by her sons, David Meyers, John Loftus, and Larry (JoAnne Fornero) Goewey; her grandchildren, Nathan Ross and Andrea Goewey; her great-grandchild, Madison Goewey; and her sisters, Marge Beers, Mary Dade, Betty (Emmett) Thompson, and Linda Kelm; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Darlene M. Goewey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Darlene Goewey as an expression of our sympathy.
