SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lois M. DeWane of Woodstock, who passed
4away on February 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lois DeWane was born in Sugar Grove and raised on
6the family farm; her parents were Elmer and Marion Myers; after
7the death of her father, she, her mother, and her sister moved
8to Belvidere to be with her brother, Everett; while in
9Belvidere, she met her future husband, Emmet J. DeWane, and
10they were married on June 9, 1951; after marrying, they settled
11in Woodstock, where they raised their family and would remain
12for the rest of their lives; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lois DeWane was a beautician and later a stay at
14home mother for many years; she also worked at Woodstock
15Memorial Hospital for 15 years until her retirement; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lois DeWane was preceded in death by her husband,
17Emmet; her parents; her siblings, Everett (Vera) Myers, Darwin
18Myers, and Dorothy (Edward) Young; and her brother and sister
19in-laws, Leo and Dorothy DeWane, Bernard and Arlene DeWane,
20Donald and Ann DeWane, JoAnn DeWane, and Gen (Russ) Osmun; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Lois DeWane is survived by her children, Gary

1(Tracey) DeWane, Sherry (Dennis) Pribble, Debra (Edward)
2Stewart, and Kelly DeWane; her grandchildren, Joshua Pribble,
3Jake Pribble, Veronica Stewart, and Brian Stewart; her
4brother-in-law, John DeWane; and her sister-in-law, Mary (nee
5DeWane) Statter; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Lois M. DeWane; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Lois DeWane as an expression of our
12sympathy.
