SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

40 ILCS 5/6-190.1

from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 6-190.1

Amends the Chicago Firefighter Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, beginning in 2015, the board shall adopt an annual budget at its December meeting for the succeeding calendar year. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing Section 6-190.1 as follows:

(40 ILCS 5/6-190.1) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 6-190.1)

Sec. 6-190.1. To have a budget. The board shall adopt an annual budget at its regular January meeting. Beginning in 2015, the board shall adopt an annual budget at its December meeting for the succeeding calendar year.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
