HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Elizabeth Lerner on the occasion of her retirement after 30 years of service with Cook County and the City of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Lerner worked for nearly 10 years for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office; she was then hired by the City of Chicago as an investigator, working her way up to Deputy Chief Investigator of the Independent Police Review Authority; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Lerner has served the City of Chicago with integrity, honesty, and dedication for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Lerner has a stellar record of performance and throughout her career, never lost sight of her responsibility to protect the citizens of Chicago; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Elizabeth Lerner on her retirement after 30 years of service with Cook County and the City of Chicago; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Elizabeth Lerner as an expression of our esteem and respect.
