| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to
congratulate the members of the | | 4 | | Southeast High School girls 4x100-meter relay team, the | | 5 | | Spartans,
on winning the Class 2A Girls Track and Field State | | 6 | | Championship; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, The members of the 2016 championship-winning | | 8 | | relay team are
Jamari Drake, Dontavia Howard, Katelynn | | 9 | | Robinson, and Alexis Henry; their
winning time was 48.15 | | 10 | | seconds; and
| | 11 | | WHEREAS, In addition to a State championship in the | | 12 | | 4x100-meter relay, the
Spartans took home a third-place team | | 13 | | trophy at the State
track and field meet on May 21, 2016 in | | 14 | | Charleston; and
| | 15 | | WHEREAS, The Spartans, clad in their blue, white, and gold | | 16 | | school colors, scored a total of 40 points, buoyed by their | | 17 | | second-place finish in the 4x400
relay; and
| | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Spartans are coached by Barb
Montgomery; and
| | 19 | | WHEREAS, Southeast High School is well known for its | | 20 | | athletics; and

| | 1 | | WHEREAS, The Spartans serve as models of hard work and | | 2 | | dedication for the
people of the State of Illinois; therefore, | | 3 | | be it
| | 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | | 5 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | | 6 | | congratulate the members of the Southeast High School girls | | 7 | | 4x100-meter relay team, the Spartans, on their outstanding
| | 8 | | performance at the State championship and we wish them | | 9 | | continued success and
happiness in the future; and be it | | 10 | | further
| | 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | | 12 | | presented to the Spartans as a symbol of our esteem and | | 13 | | respect.
