HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Martha O'Hara on the occasion of her 100th birthday on October 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Martha O'Hara was born on October 23, 1916 in Wisconsin; her family moved through many areas during the Great Depression for her father's work, including Michigan and Indiana, before moving to Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Martha O'Hara is a graduate of Morrisonville High School; she worked as a seamstress and enjoyed doing crafts; and

WHEREAS, Martha O'Hara is a member of the Alter Rosary Society, the Kincaid Women's Card Club, and the Women's Bowling Association; and

WHEREAS, Martha O'Hara is the loving mother of eight daughters; and

WHEREAS, Martha O'Hara is well regarded by her family and friends as a very giving person and loving mother who always finds time for her family's activities; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Martha O'Hara on the occasion of her 100th birthday and wish her many happy and healthy years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Martha O'Hara as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
