HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Eziekel Elliott on winning the 2015 College Football National Championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes; and

WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott played running back for Ohio State University; and

WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott rushed for 220 yards and scored 2 touchdowns against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game; and

WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott helped Ohio State University win the 2015 Sugar Bowl with 230 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns; he was named the game's Most Valuable Offensive Player; and

WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott led Ohio State University to its first College Football National Championship with 246 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns and was named the game's Most Valuable Player on Offense; and

WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott was born and raised in Alton to parents Stacey and Dawn Elliott; he attended elementary school in Alton and John Burroughs School in St. Louis, where he participated in football, basketball, and track and helped John Burroughs reach 2 championship games; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Eziekel Elliott on winning the 2015 College Football National Championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Eziekel Elliott as an expression of our esteem and respect.
