HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Claudia Kubarycz on the occasion of her performance with the All-State Orchestra on January 31, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Claudia Kubarycz is a 16-year old junior at Ridgewood High School and a resident of Norridge; she plays the saxophone in the Ridgewood High School band and serves as one of the drum majors and section leaders; she also studies violin outside of school; and

WHEREAS, In October of 2014, Claudia Kubarycz auditioned for and was accepted to the Illinois Music Educators Association District 1 Orchestra in the 1st violin section, 5th chair placement out of approximately 40 violinists who were accepted and over 150 violinists who auditioned; she subsequently performed at a festival at Lincoln Way West High School in November of 2014; in December of 2014, she found out that she was accepted to play at the State level; after rehearsing, she performed in a concert with the All-State Orchestra, made up of the finest high school violinists in the State, on January 31, 2015 at the Peoria Civic Center; and

WHEREAS, Claudia Kubarycz is the first musician to make it to the State level from Ridgewood High School since 1995; and

WHEREAS, Claudia Kubarycz serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Claudia Kubarycz on the occasion of her performance with the All-State Orchestra and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Claudia Kubarycz as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
