1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to recognize the Westmont Community Blood
4 Drive & Organ Donor Education Event; and

5     WHEREAS, The event, held on March 28, 2015 at Westmont High
6 School, raised awareness about the many lives that can be saved
7 with blood and organ donations; and

8     WHEREAS, The event was co-sponsored by the Westmont Lions
9 Club and the Westmont High School Students Against Drunk
10 Driving Club; and

11     WHEREAS, The event provided education on blood, bone
12 marrow, and organ donations and provided resources for those
13 who wished to follow up on such donations; therefore, be it

14     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15 NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16 recognize the Westmont Community Blood Drive & Organ Donor
17 Education Event and the commitment of the organizers to spread
18 the word on the increased need for blood and organ donations;
19 and be it further

20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to the Westmont Lions Club and the Westmont High
2 School Students Against Drunk Driving Club as an expression of
3 our esteem and respect.
