HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Mary Kuprianczyk on receiving the Amelia Earhart Award; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuprianczyk is a Cadet Captain with the United States Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol unit stationed at Palwaukee Airport; and

WHEREAS, The Amelia Earhart Award honors the completion of a cadet's first 11 achievements of the cadet program and is the second milestone of the program; the cadet program covers aerospace education, leadership, special activities, physical fitness, and moral and ethical values through group and individual activities; and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuprianczyk is a junior high school student at Rickover Naval Academy (Chicago Public Schools Naval High School in Edgewater); and

WHEREAS, Mary Kuprianczyk exemplifies what a role model should be for the youth of her community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mary Kuprianczyk on receiving the Amelia Earhart Award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mary Kuprianczyk as an expression of our esteem and respect.
