HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sandra "Sandy" Hunte of Momence, who passed away in a tragic car accident on November 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was born on December 18, 1954; her parents were Keith and Norma Talley Verrill; she married Bruce Hunte on June 16, 1984 in Momence; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was a proud graduate of the University of Chicago and wore her University of Chicago lanyard to school everyday; she had worked as a kindergarten teacher in Manteno since August 26, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte had an inspirational personality; she cut off all of her hair when her sister battled cancer a year ago; she touched many lives as an educator and friend to all who were fortunate to know her, including her students, who put on a holiday performance in her honor; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was very proud of her daughter, Amy, and her many accomplishments and her son, Arik, who volunteered his time to helping with her classes; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was preceded in death by her sister, Kim A. Nolte; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children, Amy Hunte and Arik Hunte; her foster son, Anthony Harris; her parents; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Mike Wehr, Shelly and David Ritchie, and Cathy and Rich Thiesen; and her brother-in-law, Tracy Nolte; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Sandra "Sandy" Hunte; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sandra Hunte as an expression of our sympathy.
