HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sandra
4"Sandy" Hunte of Momence, who passed away in a tragic car
5accident on November 4, 2015; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was born on December 18, 1954; her
7parents were Keith and Norma Talley Verrill; she married Bruce
8Hunte on June 16, 1984 in Momence; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was a proud graduate of the
10University of Chicago and wore her University of Chicago
11lanyard to school everyday; she had worked as a kindergarten
12teacher in Manteno since August 26, 1998; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte had an inspirational personality;
14she cut off all of her hair when her sister battled cancer a
15year ago; she touched many lives as an educator and friend to
16all who were fortunate to know her, including her students, who
17put on a holiday performance in her honor; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was very proud of her daughter, Amy,
19and her many accomplishments and her son, Arik, who volunteered
20his time to helping with her classes; and

1    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte was preceded in death by her sister,
2Kim A. Nolte; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Sandra Hunte is survived by her husband, Bruce;
4her children, Amy Hunte and Arik Hunte; her foster son, Anthony
5Harris; her parents; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and
6Mike Wehr, Shelly and David Ritchie, and Cathy and Rich
7Thiesen; and her brother-in-law, Tracy Nolte; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of
11Sandra "Sandy" Hunte; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Sandra Hunte as an expression of our
14sympathy.
