SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Christopher Rockefeller "Kit" Klabunde of Woodstock, who passed away on August 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde was born on July 12, 1935 in Woodstock; his parents were Christopher W. and Arline A. (nee Rockefeller) Klabunde; he married Peggie L. Jensen on November 23, 1957 at the First Presbyterian Church in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde worked as a purchasing manager for Armin Industries in Elgin; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde was an avid camper and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he was also a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Cliff; and his sisters, Arlene and Betty; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Klabunde is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Peggie; his children, Eric Klabunde, Karl (Denise) Klabunde, and Linda (Dave) Kuziel; his grandchildren, Elyse and Troy Klabunde, Alexa Kuziel, and Sara Jo and Cara Klabunde; his brothers and sisters, Judy (Larry) Zack, Al (Cathy) Klabunde, Jim (Karen) Klabunde, Sally (Lloyd) Slack, and Mary (Dave) VanLue; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Christopher Rockefeller "Kit" Klabunde; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Christopher Klabunde as an expression of our sympathy.
