SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert E. Finger of Harvard, who passed away on August 27, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finger was born in Melrose Park on September 20, 1942 to Frank and Florence Werner Finger; he served in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War; he married Shirley Tolbert in Mt. Prospect on July 15, 1972; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finger was a 40-year employee of Fastex, where he worked as an injection moulder; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finger was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and enjoyed utilizing his tractor around his farm; he was an expert at making unique things out of wood; he was a devoted family man with a special place in his heart for his grandchildren; he donated to various causes, including the American Cancer Society and veterans organizations; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finger was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey; his daughter, Wendy; and his son-in-law, Chuck Novak; and

WHEREAS, Robert Finger is survived by his wife, Shirley; his son, Cliff; his daughter, Peggy Noble; his brother, Roger (Sue) Finger; his sister, Judy Pavwoski; his 4 grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. Finger, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Finger as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
