SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas Blenner, who passed away on
4December 3, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was born on September 9, 1951 in
6Libertyville; his parents were William and Lois (nee Fuller)
7Blenner; he married Peggy DeWane on May 8, 1982 in Woodstock;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was the president and owner of
10Blenner Insurance Agency in Arlington Heights; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an active member of many
12professional organizations; he was also a member of Our Lady of
13the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was an avid sports fan and a
15diehard Chicago Cubs fan; he also coached soccer,
16cross-country, and basketball at Marian Central Catholic High
17School in Woodstock, Our Lady of the Wayside School in
18Arlington Heights, the Arlington Heights Youth Basketball
19Association, and numerous club teams, including the Arlington
20Aces Travel Team, the Green White Travel Team, and the
21Northwest Basketball Association; he also served as the

1Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Saint Viator High
2School in Arlington Heights; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner was preceded in death by a
4daughter, Megan; his parents; a brother, Joseph Blenner; and
5his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Arlene
6DeWane; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Thomas Blenner is survived by his wife, Peggy; 2
8daughters, Kelly Blenner and Jamie Blenner; 3 siblings, William
9(Nelva) Blenner, Susan (Edward Teter) Blenner, and Ann (Carson)
10Anderson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Blenner; and be
14it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Thomas Blenner as an expression of
17our sympathy.
