SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Florence Cunningham of North Chicago, who
4passed away on October 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was born on June 1, 1926 in
6North Chicago; her parents were Samuel and Anna Rygiel; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was employed at the VA
8Hospital for 15 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was a member of Holy Rosary
10(Queen of Peace) and Foss Park Senior Citizens; she enjoyed
11bingo, bowling, shopping, and spending time with her family and
12friends; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was preceded in death by her
14husband, William R. "Bill" Cunningham; her parents; her
15brothers, Joseph "Barney", Chester "Chick", Thomas, and
16Stanley; and her sisters, Bernice Behnke, Rose Kapter, and
17Helen Jakaitis; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham is survived by her children,
19Richard (Diane) Cunningham, Marleen (the late Steve) Turner,
20Eileen (the late John) Bradley, Karen (Robert) Zbynski, and

1Janeen (Michael) Bangart; her grandchildren, Jill (Gregory)
2Zgorzelski, Kelly and Kevin Cunningham, Brandee (Patrick)
3Jelinek, Susan (Pete) Squeri, Tristin (Jake) Sayre, Eric and
4Adam Zbynski, Alyssa, Hayley, and Brooke Bangart; and her
5great-grandchildren, Seth Petersen, Damien Marquez, Marlena
6Herrera, Ellison and Bradley Jelinek, and Landon and Livia
7Sayre; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Florence Cunningham;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Florence Cunningham as an expression
14of our sympathy.
