SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Florence Cunningham of North Chicago, who passed away on October 3, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was born on June 1, 1926 in North Chicago; her parents were Samuel and Anna Rygiel; and

WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was employed at the VA Hospital for 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was a member of Holy Rosary (Queen of Peace) and Foss Park Senior Citizens; she enjoyed bingo, bowling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham was preceded in death by her husband, William R. "Bill" Cunningham; her parents; her brothers, Joseph "Barney", Chester "Chick", Thomas, and Stanley; and her sisters, Bernice Behnke, Rose Kapter, and Helen Jakaitis; and

WHEREAS, Florence Cunningham is survived by her children, Richard (Diane) Cunningham, Marleen (the late Steve) Turner, Eileen (the late John) Bradley, Karen (Robert) Zbynski, and Janeen (Michael) Bangart; her grandchildren, Jill (Gregory) Zgorzelski, Kelly and Kevin Cunningham, Brandee (Patrick) Jelinek, Susan (Pete) Squeri, Tristin (Jake) Sayre, Eric and Adam Zbynski, Alyssa, Hayley, and Brooke Bangart; and her great-grandchildren, Seth Petersen, Damien Marquez, Marlena Herrera, Ellison and Bradley Jelinek, and Landon and Livia Sayre; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Florence Cunningham; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Florence Cunningham as an expression of our sympathy.
