SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John F. McGarry of Crystal Lake, who passed away on November 7, 2015; and

WHEREAS, John McGarry was born in Canada on November 22, 1932 to Frank and Anna (nee Rehuba) McGarry; and

WHEREAS, John McGarry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served 20 years and achieved the rank of Major; he served one year in Korea and 2 years in Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, John McGarry enjoyed traveling and was an avid lover of animals; and

WHEREAS, John McGarry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy; and

WHEREAS, John McGarry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane (nee Malley); his children, Michael (Lynn), Laurie (Martin), and Beverly (Michael); his grandchildren, Nicholas and Kaitlin; and his step-grandchildren, Lindsey, Ashley, and Kayla; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John F. McGarry, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John McGarry as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
