SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marjorie E. Henriksen of Beach Park, who passed away on November 25, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was born in North Chicago on April 9, 1949 to John and Jean Twardy; she graduated from North Chicago High School, where she was a cheerleader, and from Northern Illinois University, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and a pom pom girl; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was a teacher for 34 years at Andrew Cooke Magnet School in Waukegan; she and her husband were the previous owners of the Fogcutter Restaurant in Gurnee; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was a member of Holy Rosary Church (now Queen of Peace), where she was baptized and confirmed and married her husband; she was an active member of Fat Cat Rescue; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Twardy; and

WHEREAS, Marjorie Henriksen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Thomas; her son, Jeff (Susan) Henriksen; her granddaughter, Abby Henriksen; her sister, Barb Twardy Lightfoot; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marjorie E. Henriksen, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marjorie Henriksen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
