| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jack "Red" Anderson of Beach Park, who | 4 | | passed away on December 8, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Anderson was born in Waukegan on June 24, | 6 | | 1935 to Clarence and Hester Anderson; he attended Waukegan High | 7 | | School and Trinidad State College in Colorado, playing | 8 | | basketball at both places; he married Betty Satterfield in 1956 | 9 | | and they settled in Gurnee; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jack Anderson served the
public for 40 years at | 11 | | the Lake County Courthouse; he started his public service | 12 | | career in the Treasurer's Office,
where he worked hard to learn | 13 | | the ins and outs of the office, before being elected to serve | 14 | | as the Lake County
Treasurer from 1978 to 1998; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jack Anderson was a long-standing member of the | 16 | | Elks,
Moose, and Shriners organizations; he loved spending time | 17 | | with friends and family, golfing, bowling, fishing,
and playing | 18 | | cards; he loved everything about sports, from playing to | 19 | | coaching and watching his
grandchildren play; he was an avid | 20 | | Chicago sports fan and loved watching the Chicago Bulls, Cubs, | 21 | | Bears, and
Blackhawks; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jack Anderson is survived by his wife, Betty | 2 | | "Babe"; his 4 children, Kurt (Heidi) Anderson, Chris
(Cheryl) | 3 | | Anderson, Jack Anderson, and Jill (Bob) Szczerba; his 10 | 4 | | grandchildren, Brooke Hooker, Candice (Brent)
Reimholz, Ryan | 5 | | Anderson, Jordan (Katie) Anderson, Austin Anderson, Jake | 6 | | Anderson, Cody Anderson, Cole
Anderson, Aaron Szczerba, and | 7 | | Colin Szczerba; and his 6 great-grandchildren, Clara, Juliet, | 8 | | and James Hooker, Will and
Ellis Reimholz, and Autumn Szczerba; | 9 | | therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Jack "Red" Anderson, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
