SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vincent T. Ferrara, who passed away on November 28, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Ferrara was born on November 12, 1927 in Triggiano Bari, Italy; his parents were Donato and Madia (nee Carbonara) Ferrara; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Ferrara was a wedding photographer and the owner of 2 studios in Chicago; he later became a computer program instructor at the Copernicus Senior Center in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Ferrara enjoyed playing tennis, dancing, learning languages, and humor; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Ferrara is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Ferrara, and his parents; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Ferrara is survived by his wife, Jewel Gardner-Ferrara; his children, Marietta (Dr. Rafath) Rasheed, Regina Pavone, Theresa Beth (Thomas) Peluse, and Deborah (John) Adair; his grandchildren, Giancarlo, Nikhat, Javid, Anthony, Justin, Jessica, Michael, Thomas, and Saige; his great-grandchildren, Nargis, Mariam, Isabella, and Elena; his sister, Theresa Ferrara; and his many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Vincent T. Ferrara; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vincent Ferrara as an expression of our sympathy.
