SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Wendell G. Thiele of Huntley, who passed away on December 8, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was born on August 27, 1924 in Berrien Springs, Michigan; his parents were Arthur and Nellie (nee Sweeney) Thiele; he married Carmilla E. Adams on July 31, 1982 in Huntley; and

WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was a member of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was a member of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 54; a master carpenter, he retired as Senior Vice President of Gerhardt F. Meyne Company in Chicago after 40 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Arthur and Carlyle; his sister, Jackie Williamson; his granddaughter; and his great-grandson; and

WHEREAS, Wendell Thiele is survived by his wife, Carmilla; his daughters, Jill (Ned) Wetmore, Joan (William) Baumann, and Christine (Peter) Hoeffner; his stepson, David Rose; his stepdaughter, Sharon Rose; his grandchildren, Ellen (Jeff) Warmouth, Dana (Charles) Wilson, Aaron (Wendy) Baumann, and JoHanna (Christopher) Robert; his great-grandchildren, Alexander and Benjamin Warmouth and Calvin and Natia Wilson; and his many very special nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Wendell G. Thiele; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wendell Thiele as an expression of our sympathy.
