| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Julia Koffend of McHenry, who passed away | 4 | | on January 6, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Julia Koffend was born in Barberton, Ohio to | 6 | | Andrew and Mary Bavetz on March 19, 1924; she worked at Western | 7 | | Electric in Chicago, where she met her husband, Jim Koffend; | 8 | | they were married on November 6, 1948; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Julia Koffend and her husband worked together in | 10 | | their business, Peko Tile and Carpet in Palatine, but her true | 11 | | dedication was to their 3 daughters and her brothers and | 12 | | sisters; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Julia Koffend loved her family, children, | 14 | | animals, playing cards with her sisters, and occasional trips | 15 | | to the casino; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Julia Koffend was preceded in death by her | 17 | | husband, Jim; her siblings, Andrew Bavetz, Mary Bavetz, Frank | 18 | | Bavetz, and Ed Bavetz; and her great-grandson, Henry Buchert; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Julia Koffend is survived by her 3 daughters, |
