SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald D. Duncan, Jr. of Waukegan, who passed away on December 31, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Donald Duncan, Jr. was born on February 19, 1924 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Donald Duncan, Jr. served with the United States Army in World War II in the Pacific Theater; and

WHEREAS, Donald Duncan, Jr. was a former Elder with the First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan, a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #78, and a retired employee of IBM; and

WHEREAS, Donald Duncan, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Emily Duncan; his brothers, Robert and Melford; and his sisters, Esther and Lillian; and

WHEREAS, Donald Duncan, Jr. is survived by his wife, Jean (nee Eccles) Duncan; his son, Donald Duncan, III; his daughter, Heather (Keith McCready) Duncan; and his grandchildren, Kara and Ian McCready; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald D. Duncan, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Duncan, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
