SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Roy Hilyard of Bunker Hill, who passed away on February 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, James Hilyard was born on March 17, 1934 in Bunker Hill; his parents were Roy A. Hilyard and Clara J. (nee Marko) Hilyard; he married Margaret Ann "Peggy" (nee Noel) Hilyard on May 30, 1953 in Bunker Hill; and

WHEREAS, James Hilyard was a livestock farmer; he was also a member of the Bunker Hill Lions Club, the United Methodist Church of Bunker Hill, the Masonic Lodge, and the Kuntry Kuzins Square Dance Club; and

WHEREAS, James Hilyard enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with his family and friends, and John Deere tractors; and

WHEREAS, James Hilyard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; his grandchildren, Jon Hilyard and Josh Hilyard; and his brother, Marvin Hilyard; and

WHEREAS, James Hilyard is survived by his children, Mary Ann (Terry) Hicks and Dennis Hilyard; his grandchildren, Matt (Lori) Hilyard, Jasen Hilyard, Jake Hilyard, Ashley (Michael) Archibee-Hadley, and Aaron Archibee; and his great-grandchildren, Maddy Hilyard, Masen Hilyard, Jeremiah Hilyard, Jalena Hilyard, and Declan Hadley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James Roy Hilyard; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Hilyard as an expression of our sympathy.
