SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Roy Hilyard of Bunker Hill, who
4passed away on February 2, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Hilyard was born on March 17, 1934 in Bunker
6Hill; his parents were Roy A. Hilyard and Clara J. (nee Marko)
7Hilyard; he married Margaret Ann "Peggy" (nee Noel) Hilyard on
8May 30, 1953 in Bunker Hill; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Hilyard was a livestock farmer; he was also
10a member of the Bunker Hill Lions Club, the United Methodist
11Church of Bunker Hill, the Masonic Lodge, and the Kuntry Kuzins
12Square Dance Club; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Hilyard enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals,
14spending time with his family and friends, and John Deere
15tractors; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Hilyard was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife, Margaret; his grandchildren, Jon Hilyard and
18Josh Hilyard; and his brother, Marvin Hilyard; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Hilyard is survived by his children, Mary
20Ann (Terry) Hicks and Dennis Hilyard; his grandchildren, Matt

1(Lori) Hilyard, Jasen Hilyard, Jake Hilyard, Ashley (Michael)
2Archibee-Hadley, and Aaron Archibee; and his
3great-grandchildren, Maddy Hilyard, Masen Hilyard, Jeremiah
4Hilyard, Jalena Hilyard, and Declan Hadley; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of James Roy Hilyard; and
8be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of James Hilyard as an expression of
11our sympathy.
