SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Genevieve Edith Pfeiffer of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on January 3, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was born in Lebanon, Indiana to
6Lloyd Thomas and Edith B. (nee Partner) Sicks on September 3,
71920; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was dedicated to many
9organizations, including the Northern Illinois Airstream Unit
10for 40 years and the Kishwaukee chapter of the Daughters of the
11American Revolution; she was a 4-H leader and a long-time and
12active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; she traveled to all
1350 states and 6 continents and enjoyed playing cards and games
14with family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer was preceded in death by her
16parents; her husband, William; her grandchildren, William
17Commons and Thorsten Fjellstedt; her great-grandchild, Steven
18Commons; and her sister, Major Mary Sicks; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Genevieve Pfeiffer is survived by her 6 daughters,
20Mary Lou (Jerry) Cristy, Patsy (the late John) Commons, Nancy
21(Thorsten) Fjellstedt, Dorothy (the late Warren) Derrick,

1Tommy Sue (Samuel) Stone, and Judy (John) Reichert; her
2grandchildren, Leeann (Steven) Slack, Sandra (Kevin) Kinahan,
3Steven (Carol) Commons, Jennifer (Shane Farstar) Ferris,
4Anders (Lyndsey) Fjellstedt, Gwendolyn Pertell, Carolyn (Sean)
5Hand, Nathan (Stacie) Stone, Eric (Amy) Stone, Gavin Stone,
6Rebecca (Erin) Aslakson, Zachery (Erin) Reichert, and Andrew
7(Kristen) Reichert; her 23 great-grandchildren; and her
8brother, Ernest (the late Irene) Sicks; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Genevieve Edith Pfeiffer, and extend our sincere condolences to
12her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Genevieve Pfeiffer as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
