SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann Selof of Johnsburg, who passed away on February 12, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof was born on October 27, 1934 in Chicago; her parents were Irene and Edward White; she married William "Bill" Selof on October 6, 1956 at St. Aloysius Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof was employed as an administrative assistant by Johnsburg School District 12 from 1970 to 1980; she continued her employment working as a personal banker for Home State Bank from 1980 to 1991, when she retired; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and playing cards, especially Pinochle; she was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Selof; her mother and stepfather, Irene and Andy Tucker; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Ethel Selof; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Gibbs; and

WHEREAS, Ann Selof is survived by her children, Nora Gibbs, Dennis Selof, Scott (Lori) Selof, Gary (Tracy) Selof, and Tom (Julie) Selof; her grandchildren, Kristy (Nick) Chorostecki, Jimmy Gibbs, Becky (Barry) Drew, Jennifer Gibbs, Nathan (Maggie) Selof, Madisyn, Bryce, Mykenzie, Shelly, Karen, Matthew, Kelly, Melaina, Saffire, and Lexy Selof, Louis Porter, Derek (Brittany) Sloan, and Sara and Jake Heeline; her great-grandchildren, Emile, Morgan, Jimmy, Jackson, Max, Izabel, Charlotte, Lucas, Austin, Griffin, Autumn, and George; her siblings; and her brothers-in-law, Everett (Donna) Selof and Richard Selof; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Ann Selof; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Selof as an expression of our sympathy.
