SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Grace Drasler of Waukegan, who passed away on February 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Grace Drasler was born on May 11, 1924 in Waukegan, where she remained a lifelong resident; and

WHEREAS, Grace Drasler was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, now part of Most Blessed Trinity Parish, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Grace Drasler was preceded in death by her husband, William; her sister, Minnie; her brother, Frank; and her parents, Michael and Antoinette; and

WHEREAS, Grace Drasler is survived by her son, Michael (Anne) Drasler; her 3 grandchildren, Benjamin (Laura Portera), Victoria (Rob Pluta), and Logan; her 3 nephews, Fr. Bill Zavaski, Fr. Robert Bracaskas, and Frank (Jill) Zavaski; her special great-niece, Julian Zavaski; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Grace Drasler, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Grace Drasler as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
