SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert L. Wieder of McHenry, who passed away on November 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wieder was born in Highland Park to Lyle and Elizabeth (Heinz) Wieder on May 6, 1924; he married Jacqueline Butow in Evanston on April 23, 1949; he served with the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific and had the privilege of going on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. in October of 2010; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wieder worked for 50 years as a plumber with Local 130; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wieder enjoyed golfing, watching football, NASCAR, and fixing things around the house; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wieder was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline, and his parents; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wieder is survived by his children, Gary Wieder, Debbie (Jim) Harding, Kathryn (Christopher) Harrison, and Craig Wieder; his grandchildren, Ryan (Jackie) Harding, Mike (Melodie) Harding, Chris (Robin) Harding, Dylan Wieder, Thomas Wieder, and Victoria Wieder; his 11 great-grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters, Virginia (Steve) Shambaugh, Ernest Wieder, and Joanne Wellauer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert L. Wieder, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Wieder as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
