SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Victor L. Brown, Jr. of Rock Island, who
4passed away on April 12, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. was born on April 1, 1933 in
6Quincy; his parents were Victor Sr. and Pansy Matticks; he was
7raised by Pansy and Joseph Matticks; he married Barbara Frueche
8on April 12, 1979 in Moline; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. was a United States Army
10veteran; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. retired from John Deere Seeding
12in Moline after 30 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. enjoyed fishing and golfing; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. was preceded in death by his
15wife, Barbara; his son, Victor (Colleen) Brown, III; and his
16parents, Pansy and Joe Matticks and Victor Brown, Sr.; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Victor Brown, Jr. is survived by his children,
18Robert (Jayne) Brown, Tracy (George) Schroeder, Brenda (Mike)
19Trent, Peggy (Brad) Yeager, Terry (Donna) Hoebing, Tina

1Hoebing, Tracey (Allan) Lawless, and Tami (Nick) Wriedt; his 13
2grandchildren; his 22 great-grandchildren; his sister, Ramona
3(Dan) Ballard; and his three nieces; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Victor L. Brown, Jr.;
7and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Victor Brown, Jr. as an expression
10of our sympathy.
