SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. "Rob" McConnaughay, who passed away on April 13, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was born on August 20, 1955 in Geneva; his parents were Glenn and Mary McConnaughay; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was a 1973 graduate of Geneva High School; he later received his bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was employed for many years in sales in the beverage industry; he was also a longtime member of the Kane County Board; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan; he also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was preceded in death by his mother and his great-niece, Alessa; and

WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay is survived by his father; his sisters, Glenda (Dennis) Heinkel, Pat (Tim) Nelson, and LeeAnn (Lee) Molitor; his dear friend, Gayle Doporcyk; his special cousin, Mark McConnaughay; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert J. "Rob" McConnaughay; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert McConnaughay as an expression of our sympathy.
