SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank A. Belmont Jr. of Gurnee, who passed away on April 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was born in Waukegan on January 16, 1953; he attended Carmel High School and Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota, where he played basketball; he earned his master's degree from Northeastern Illinois University; he married Becky on June 11, 1993; and

WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was a teacher, head basketball coach, and athletic director at Carmel High School; he was also a social studies teacher and head basketball coach at Waukegan High School; and

WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. is a member of the Carmel High School and Southwest State University athletic halls of fame; he was an avid sports fan, history buff, and enjoyed traveling with his wife; and

WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Frank Belmont Sr., and his sister, Barbara Taylor; and

WHEREAS, Frank Belmont Jr. is survived by his wife, Becky; his mother, Mildred; his sister, Marianne Johnson; his brothers, Michael (Karen) Belmont and John (Shannon) Belmont; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank A. Belmont Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Belmont Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
