SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Archie C. Senter, who passed away on February 17, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Archie Senter was born in Lovelaceville, Kentucky on June 8, 1927 to Ernest, Sr. and Willie (nee Johnson) Senter; and

WHEREAS, Archie Senter was a World War II Army Veteran; and

WHEREAS, Archie Senter was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ardell Senter; his 2 brothers, Ernest, Jr. "Buddy" Senter and William Senter; and his 4 sisters, Irma Smith, Mary Porter, Lorraine Head, and Arzell House; and

WHEREAS, Archie Senter is survived by his 4 children, Jean (Eugene) Jones, Sherhonda (Michael) Jackson, Arlene (Sam) Hasty, and Bridgette (Ian) Cler; his 5 grandchildren, Jason Jones, Chelvic Simmons, Janekka Simmons, Jocelyn (Karim) Ross, and Jeanette (John) Humphries; his 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Archie C. Senter, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Archie Senter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
