SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert G. Bayness of Rock Island, who
4passed away on June 3, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Bayness was born to Joe and Grace Green
6Bayness on the family farm, south of Westgate, Iowa, on
7February 20, 1931; he graduated from Oelwein High School in
8Iowa in 1949 and moved to Rock Island in 1950; he served in the
9United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Bayness was a carpenter for the Bob Bower
11Construction Company for 13 years; he sold real estate for the
12Oakwood Realty Company for 25 years, retiring in December of
131996; he built Coachwood Condos in Rock Island; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Bayness was a member of Two Rivers United
15Methodist Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed his 13 mission
16trips to different parts of the world; he also enjoyed going to
17the Rock Island Fitness Center, biking, running, and most of
18all, spending time with his family and friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Bayness was preceded in death by his
20parents; four sisters; a brother; and a niece; and

1    WHEREAS, Robert Bayness is survived by his nephews, Bill
2(Pam) Ehm, Jim (Kay) Bashaw, Richard (Linda) Moritz, Jerry
3(Carolyn) Bayness, Roger (Cheryl) Bayness, and Denny (Linda)
4Bachman; and his nieces, Kay (Lew) Westcott and Joyce (Delmar)
5Stickfort; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Robert G. Bayness, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Robert Bayness as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
