SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald J. Prola, who passed away on July
48, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Prola was an esteemed educator and Athletic
6Director for Joliet Township High Schools District 204, where
7he impacted the lives of several thousand young men and women;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Prola was an Eagle Scout and a member of
10the Order of the Arrow; he was also an avid outdoorsman; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Prola was a lifelong member and President
12of U.N.I.C.O.; he was a member of the Plainfield Moose Lodge;
13he served as president of the Chaney Club; he was an usher at
14the Cathedral of St. Raymond's in Joliet and St. Mary Star of
15the Sea in Longboat Key, Florida; he also headed an annual golf
16outing for charity and was a board member and Treasurer of
17Seaplace in Longboat Key, Florida; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Prola was preceded in death by his parents,
19Bernard and Catherine Prola; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Donald Prola is survived by his loving and devoted

1wife of 39 years, Peg; his children, Christopher and Andrea;
2his dog, "Polo"; his very special brother, James (Barbara); his
3brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Pat McElligott of Lemont;
4Robert and Barbara White; Carol White; his uncle, Jack (Gayle)
5Prola; his aunt, Carol Olson; many loving nieces, nephews,
6great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his very special friend,
7Kevin Rutkowski; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald J. Prola; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Donald Prola as an expression of our
14sympathy.
