SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Angela Amici, who passed away on July 19, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Angela Amici was born in Chicago to Michael and Josephine (Geraci) Azzaro on December 6, 1929; she married Anthony "Pat" Amici in Chicago on May 28, 1949; and

WHEREAS, Angela Amici loved to sing and taught voice lessons in McHenry for over 50 years; she sang with the Lyric Opera in Chicago and for the last 40 years of her life; and

WHEREAS, Angela Amici was very active in the McHenry Choral Club; and

WHEREAS, Angela Amici was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; her parents; and her brother, Richard Azzaro; and

WHEREAS, Angela Amici is survived by her children, Linda (Bob) Joyce, Michael (Marla) Amici, Mark Amici, and Lisa (Ron) Leininger; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her brother, Vince (Kathleen) Azzaro; her sister, Gerry (Arnie) Sambel; and her sister-in-law, Janet Azzaro; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Angela Amici, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Angela Amici as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
